Great deal and I do need a mattress upgrade. I have a question though. How did you get the old mattress out and how did you dispose of it? I am 75 with a bad back so if I had some insight I could, at least,know how many guys I need to hire. OBTW I check your website before I even search at IRV2.com (and I really like that forum too!).

Hi Dave! Thanks so much for the nice comments. We suggest that unless your old mattress is completely in tatters, there is usually someone less fortunate that would find it very useful. We love "freecycling" and always try to find a good home for items that have outlived their usefulness (to us) rather than have them end up in a landfill. One man's trash, etc.
When we replaced our mattress with the new one from Mattress Insider (which we still absolutely LOVE by the way), we happened to be near a First Nations (the equivalent of "Native American" in Canada) reservation. A friend of ours knows people there who are very poor, and they were thrilled to take our 10-year old mattress, since it was far better than what they had.
We'd suggest posting your mattress in the "Free" section of your area's Craigslist page. You can provide details about the age and condition, and let people know that they you're unable to move it, so they'll need to remove it from the house themselves. People watch the free section of craigslist like hawks, looking for this kind of stuff. Again, "one man's trash..." We have literally had 4 or 5 e-mails within the hour almost every time we've posted something for free on Craigslist. Hope this helps.

I'm pleased to learn that such a manufacturer exists, and I'll return to this video when I or someone else will be replacing one. I'm not entering the contest as I replaced the mattress in our coach a few years ago and to our joy we had space to fit a good residential version. So there's no sense in being greedy. I have always enjoyed your wonderful videos and look forward to when a new one is released. Thank you for all the videos over the years and God bless you guys!

I agree with the others. As a complete greenhorn I've been thankful for your presentations on many important issues. BTW, my mattress is already done in aprox 9 months.
