The zip-off top makes it incredibly easy to remove, wash, and re-make the bed with the sheet you sleep on. Unzip the top sheet and zip on a clean one (or wash and re-make the bed with the current one) while the fitted base remains snugly in place. You may still have to crawl toward the top corners, but there’s no need to lift or fight with the mattress.
