2025 Entegra Cornerstone Adds Freightliner Chassis Option

2025 Entegra Cornerstone Adds Freightliner Chassis Option

A Freightliner-Entegra combo? That’s nothing new, right? Entegra’s Super C RVs have offered a Freightliner chassis for some time. But Entegra has now announced that its 2025 Cornerstone, their powerful top-of-the-line Class A diesel pusher, will be offered with a Freightliner chassis option, too.

In this post, we’ll take a look at this announcement to see what it means for future Entegra Cornerstone owners.

What Does the New Entegra-Freightliner Collaboration Mean for RVers?

Freightliner Custom Chassis and Entegra have expanded their collaboration. On January 5, 2024, Entegra Coach and Freightliner announced that the 2025 Cornerstone will be available with a choice of chassis. They’ve engineered and designed Entegra’s luxurious and powerful Class A diesel pusher to now offer a Freightliner chassis.

Again, Entegra has used the Freightliner chassis for their Super C models for years now. But prior to this update, Entegra Class A diesel pusher motorhomes were built only on Spartan chassis. Now, Entegra buyers will have a choice between a Spartan or Freightliner chassis.

What Are the Benefits of a Freightliner-Entegra Combination in a Class A Motorhome?

Entegra’s flagship Cornerstone is well-known as a powerful luxury Class A diesel pusher. The 2025 Cornerstone will be the first Entegra Class A motorhome to offer a chassis built by Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC). The chassis used will be the Freightliner SL model.

The SL chassis has a 20,000-pound towing capacity and an independent front suspension (IFS). In addition, Freightliner’s UltraSteer tag axles reduce turning radius by up to 17%, which is among the best available. Its V-Ride rear suspension also reduces body roll.

A 605 horsepower engine, DriveTech controls on the steering wheel and column, and a 15″ OptiView all-digital display combine with Entegra’s Safe View Dash and RoadWatch safety suite. All this makes the Freightliner Entegra coach a pretty powerful and comfortable Class A motorhome.

The Entegra Cornerstone’s Freightliner SL chassis has a 5-year/100,000-mile warranty and can be serviced at more than 450 locations in the United States and Canada.

Where Can We See the 2025 Entegra Cornerstone With a Freightliner Chassis?

Entegra revealed the 2025 Cornerstone to the public at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa, Florida, Jan 17-21. If were there, let us know what you thought in the comments below. If not, you can get a quick peek at the 2025 Entegra Cornerstone with Freightliner chassis in this video:

I have a 2019 London Aire on the same Freightliner SL chassis. I test drove both chassis before I bought and I liked the way the FL chassis handled. The Spartan was, what I would call more of a Boulevard ride, a little soft and bouncy and more body roll in turns. The Freightliner is a little stiffer ride, not as bouncy and to me, corners better with less body roll. I know that Spartan has the reputation of being a step up from Freightliner. But in my opinion, the Freightliner with it's ZF front suspension and V-Ride rear suspension makes for a better handling coach.

It's one of the reasons why it's always good to have options! No two people are ever guaranteed to agree 100% on anything! 😉

This is not really so remarkable. Tiffin used to produce their own chassis (the Powerglide) for several of their model lines. They, too, have chosen to go with Freightliner and ditched their own Powerglide chassis.

That's true, Steve. RV manufacturers make changes all the time. But because people tend to have preferences for things (chassis options included), we thought it would be helpful for people to know that Entegra is beginning to integrate Freightliner Chassis into their product line... in case they had ruled them out completely because they weren't a fan of Spartan Chassis.

On a side note... Tiffin is still using their PowerGlide chassis as the standard choice for most of their Class A Diesel Pushers, with Freightliner being an option you can choose instead. But, that could change next year... or even partway through THIS model year. 😉
